Romeo and Juliet is a fast paced, fun outdoor production for The HandleBards. In summer 2016 this all female group toured the country, traveling by bicycle from London to the Edinburgh Fringe. In the autumn it toured schools and was the first all-female production to visit Sudan. In Spring 2017 it toured across Asia. In 2018 it was revived and toured the UK, India and Thailand. It continues to tour in a new, 3 person version devised during the pandemic.

Role

Having been a founding member, producer and actor for the HandleBards since 2013, I took on the role of Associate Director, working with Director Nel Crouch to create this show for The HandleBards first ever female troupe.

In 2017, one of the cast was unable to continue touring across Myanmar, Malaysia and Singapore, so I stepped in to play the roles of Nurse, Prince, Tybalt, Friar John and Sampson (and loved every minute of it.)
